Prime Video has released the official trailer and teaser key art for Blade Runner 2099, a new limited series set in the dystopian universe of the Blade Runner franchise. All eight episodes will premiere on 25 November 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
The trailer was unveiled during a panel at New York Comic Con, attended by cast members Michelle Yeoh, Hunter Schafer, Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben and Matthew Needham, alongside showrunner and creator Silka Luisa and executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.
A new chapter in the Blade Runner universe

Set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049, the series returns to a Los Angeles reshaped by forces beyond humanity. The story follows Cora, a fugitive who assumes one final identity as a Blade Runner in an attempt to escape her past.
She is paired with Olwen, a Replicant nearing the end of her life, to track down a runaway whose secret threatens the fragile stability of the city.
Yeoh and Schafer lead the cast, with Abold (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) and Gribben (Somewhere Boy) among the series regulars. The recurring guest cast includes Katelyn Rose Downey, Daniel Rigby, Johnny Harris, Amy Lennox, Sheila Atim, Needham, Tom Burke and Maurizio Lombardi.
Creative team behind the series

Luisa serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer. The executive-producing team also includes Ridley Scott, whose work on the original Blade Runner helped establish the franchise’s distinctive vision of the future.
Other executive producers include Kosove and Johnson, co-founders of Alcon Entertainment, alongside representatives from Alcon Entertainment and Scott Free Productions, as well as writers and producers associated with the franchise. Jonathan van Tulleken, known for Shōgun, serves as an executive producer and directed the first two episodes.
With its new characters and a story set decades after the previous film, Blade Runner 2099 expands the franchise’s exploration of identity, artificial life and humanity’s place in an increasingly uncertain future.
