Superbike Power Meets Street Style in the New BMW M 1000 R Competition

BMW Motorrad Malaysia has introduced the New BMW M 1000 R Competition, bringing full-blooded superbike performance to the street. Following the recent arrival of the M 1000 RR Competition, this latest entry turns the same motorsport DNA into something rawer, edgier, and built for riders who want intensity in every ride — without committing to full fairings and track ergonomics.
The new model is designed for those who want the thrill of race-developed engineering paired with the agility and attitude of the Hyper Naked category. Visually, the M 1000 R Competition is unapologetically aggressive, with a dual-flow LED headlight and winglets that not only amplify the stance but also assist with stability at speed. Subtle yet striking touches like the Platinum Grey rear frame and blacked-out engine covers reinforce the bike’s performance-first personality.
Built For Performance
At its heart lies the same 999cc inline four-cylinder engine found in the M 1000 RR, delivering a staggering 210 hp and 113 Nm of torque. That translates to 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and a top speed well past 250 km/h — numbers usually associated with fully faired superbikes rather than street-focused machines. A short-stroke throttle, refined Dynamic Traction Control, and multiple Race Pro riding modes mean riders can tailor the experience from everyday usability to full-blown track aggression.
The M 1000 R Competition is also equipped with a suite of high-spec components: M brakes, M Titanium exhaust, cruise control, quickshifter, lightweight battery, and advanced electronics all come standard. The M Competition Package adds matte carbon finishes, CNC-milled adjustable rearsets, carbon wheels, carbon winglets, and the M GPS-Laptrigger — bringing race-ready detail to the everyday ride.
Finished in Blackstorm metallic with signature M Motorsport highlights, the bike isn’t just engineered to perform — it’s designed to be seen.
