With a new year here it’s time to check out what’s in store for viewers from an entertainment point of view. If you’re a Disney+ Hotstar subscriber then January 2025 will surely not disappoint.

Along with the latest instalment of the Alien franchise there is also a new gripping new chapter to the Walking Dead franchise. One thing is for sure, the first month of the new year will not be short of entertainment.

Alien: Romulus

This truly terrifying sci-fi horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its iconic roots. While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young colonizers come face-to-face with the most relentless and deadly life form in the universe. The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live

Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead…and ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive? Or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead? Unmasked

After years of alienating advertisers by breaking some of the country’s biggest and most contentious news stories, an investigative news team’s days are numbered after broadcasting an exceptionally controversial story. With time running out on their careers, the team are challenged to accomplish the impossible if they want to save their jobs: solve a twenty-year-old cold case involving a famous actor who disappeared without a trace. The Korean drama stars Lee Hyesoo and Jung Sungil.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will follow Peter Parker’s journey as he grows into his role as a hero. While not connected to the main Marvel canon, this animated series opens up new storytelling possibilities within the Spider-Man universe, allowing for fresh takes on beloved characters, unique villains, and Peter’s personal struggles.

Starring: Hudson Thames, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Hugh Dancy, Kari Wahlgren and Zeno Robinson.
