Love, ambition and political rivalry collide in The Remarried Empress, a new 10-part Korean romantic drama premiering exclusively on Disney+ from 4 November 2026.
Adapted from the popular NAVER WEBTOON of the same name, which has accumulated almost three billion views, the series centres on Empress Navier and Emperor Sovieshu of the Eastern Kingdom.
Their marriage begins to unravel when Sovieshu falls for Rashta, a runaway slave whom he brings into the royal court. Faced with the emperor’s decision to pursue a new relationship, Navier agrees to his request for a divorce on one condition: she will marry Crown Prince Heinrey of the rival Western Kingdom.

What begins as a personal betrayal develops into a larger struggle involving power, loyalty and the future of two kingdoms, as Navier attempts to reclaim control over her life and position.
The series stars Shin Mina (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Karma) as Empress Navier, Ju Jihoon (Light Shop, The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call) as Emperor Sovieshu, Lee Jongsuk (Big Mouth) as Crown Prince Heinrey and Lee Seyoung (The Red Sleeve, The Crowned Clown) as Rashta.
Adapted for television by Yeoh Geena and Hyun Choongyeol, the series is directed by Cho Suwon, whose previous credits include Still 17 and Pinocchio.
The series will debut with four episodes on 4 November, followed by two new episodes every Wednesday, concluding on 25 November.
The arrival adds another Korean Original to Disney+’s growing slate, alongside titles including Moving, Tempest and Made in Korea.
