And you can experience this Glenfiddich Whisky at Changi Airport

Glenfiddich is the World’s Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, and the brand has announced their newest collection, the Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection. This whisky was made exclusively for global travel retail and will be available at a pop-up in Changi Airport Terminal 1 transit area in Singapore.

There are four whiskies in this collection and feature whisky in perpetual motion. This is because he whisky is multiple vats that have never been emptied. This means that each successive vat fills like it is a new generation of whisky building on the past and ensuring every sip gives you a unique experience.

The innovative technique used for the Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection is called the Solera Vat process and it was pioneered by Glenfiddich specifically for this Collection. It sees the vats all being half filled so that they still contain the original liquid which essentially means the whisky is always in motion.

Moreover this Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection consists of four exclusive expressions which are all unique and express themselves differently. Each vat has it’s own distinct flavour profile and character which is also a nod to the vats in each bottle being different from one another. The vats are VAT 01, VAT 02, VAT 03 and VAT 04.

VAT 01 of the Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection has an ABV 0f 40 percent and is described as an exceptionally elegant single malt suitable for every palate. It is balanced and refreshingly smooth.

On top of that, VAT 02 has an ABV of 43 percent and a bolder but still silky Glenfiddich. It is mellow yet complex as it is double matured in oak and Spanish sherry casks.

Moreover, VAT 03 has an ABV of 50.2 percent and is non-chill filtered. It is matured in European oak sherry and ex-bourbon casks for 15 years and embodies the pioneering spirit of Glenfiddich. This one is definitely going to be more popular among connoisseurs instead of non whisky drinkers.

Lastly, VAT 04 is also non-chill filtered and has an ABV of 47.8 percent. This one is warmer and more refined. It was aged in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks for 18 years and is the most distinguished and aromatic of the four. It is luxuriously fruity and we opine the one Whisky veterans will most appreciate.

The Glenfiddich Perpetual Collection pop-up in Changi Airport will serve you from 6a.m. to 1a.m. from 27 September to 5 November 2022.
