The first 501 customers to pre-book a Smart #1 will receive early bird benefits

Smart Malaysia has officially announced it will start accepting bookings for the smart #1 in conjunction with the signing of an enhanced Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between smart & Proton that took place in Nanning, China, today.

The event, graced by Dr Li Chunrong, Chief Executive Officer, Proton, Roslan bin Abdullah, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Proton, and Malaysian delegates including representatives from MITI, MIDA, MGTC and MARii, is a significant step forward and positions Malaysia as the first ASEAN country to accept customer bookings for the popular electric vehicle (EV).

Moreover, prospective owners may now reserve the Smart #1 through the Hello smartApp with a refundable RM1,000 booking fee, to set them on the path to smart car ownership. By taking advantage of this offer, they not only secure a place to be among the first recipients of the exciting new EV.

What’s more, the first 501 pre-order customers will also unlock exclusive #1 Early-Bird perks including RM1,001 in charging credits directly via the Hello smart App which will be credited to the owner’s account upon delivery of their EV, empower the owners to enjoy a seamless charging experience through the app and its groundbreaking feature integrating more than 70 percent of public charging locations available.

The Smart #1 will be available in Pro, Premium and Brabus trims that have been specifically tailored for the Malaysian market. The Pro and Premium variants boast a chic design and offer an exhilarating driving experience as intelligent electric vehicles, while the Brabus variant is a high-performance variant featuring a striking exterior design and a bright, elevated interior.

On top of that, exterior colour options for the Smart #1 Pro include Digital White, Laser Red, Cyber Silver, Quantum Blue, and Future Green. In addition to these five colours, the Premium variant also can be had in Atom Grey Matte and Lumen Yellow.

As for the interior upholstery, the Smart #1 Pro features the standard “After Dark” trim, while Premium variants come in a two-tone white and black “Dark Matter” trim, and both feature the Eclipse Black Roof except for the Atom Grey Matte option which already comes with a body coloured roof.
