Siam Paragon has unveiled NEXTOPIA: The Prototype for the World of Tomorrow, a world-first attraction and a transformative new chapter in the global destination’s evolution. Spanning more than 15,000 square metres across Levels 5 and 5A, NEXTOPIA is a future-city ecosystem powered by sustainability, collaboration, advanced innovation and meaningful community impact.

Representing an investment of over THB 850 million, the project reinforces Siam Paragon’s position as one of the world’s most visited retail destinations. Developed in partnership with leading innovation organisations, global alliances and over 50 visionary collaborators, NEXTOPIA invites visitors to Join Us in the Making of a Better World.

A Co-Creation Platform for the Future

NEXTOPIA is conceived as a revolutionary co-creation hub, integrating sustainable technologies, forward-thinking design and experiential engagement to elevate everyday living. The model is anchored by three pillars. Cutting-edge infrastructure, co-created with 50 cross-industry partners, models a complete, future-ready city ecosystem. Communities, including more than 30 environmental and sustainability groups and Friends of NEXTOPIA, drive long-term social and environmental impact. Retailers, comprising over 40 brands and 300 SMEs, deliver value-led, sustainability-rooted experiences that emphasise equality, inclusivity and environmental stewardship.

A Benchmark for Global Sustainable Innovation

NEXTOPIA integrates breakthrough technologies across energy, air quality, materials and design. Highlights include a Kinetic Energy Floor that converts footsteps into clean electricity; one of Thailand’s largest solar rooftop systems with B.Grimm; Floor Radiant Cooling that removes the need for forced-air systems; a 16-metre Cooling Waterfall for natural climate comfort; advanced DAS & DOAS air-handling technologies from Daikin; and low-VOC, non-toxic paints and green materials sourced from sustainability-driven manufacturers. Highly recyclable BlueScope metal further reduces environmental impact.

The space also features immersive sustainable art and design installations such as The Tree of Life, The Spiral sculptural staircase, and recycled-material creations including The Forest Canopy and The Ocean Canopy. NEXTOPIA has earned Fitwel 2-Star Certification, becoming Thailand’s first multi-tenant retail building to achieve this global health and wellbeing standard.

The Globe: A New Way to See the World

At the heart of NEXTOPIA is The Globe, an iconic floating installation created with Plan B Media. It displays live global climate and ecological data sourced from GISTDA and NASA, visualising planetary health, environmental change and the real-time energy generated from the Kinetic Floor.

Interactive Sustainability Experiences

Visitors can engage with hands-on sustainable attractions including The Vertical Farm, offering workshops and edible harvests co-created with Distar; AR Binoculars, which explain NEXTOPIA’s technologies through augmented reality; and the NEXTOPIA Mascots—Nextsi, Tobi and PYE—designed to inspire younger visitors. Guests can also explore NEXTOPIA World via the ONESIAM SuperApp, earning Green Points for sustainable actions.

NEXTOPIA is driven by a wide coalition of partners, including over 30 community organisations and global leaders such as the United Nations, UN Global Compact Network Thailand, WFP, UNICEF, WWF and UNDP BIOFIN. The platform hosts talks, workshops, exhibitions and year-round activities led by sustainability innovators, creators and thought leaders.

A Launchpad for Green Entrepreneurs

NEXTOPIA empowers SMEs and global brands through ECOTOPIA, recognised among Asia’s 20 Coolest Retailers by Inside Retail. Eco-conscious brands include Doi Tung, MIIR, Sedar.W, Sudtana and Shima Park. The destination is also pet-friendly, featuring Club Pawrents by Arak with curated products and a veterinary clinic opening in 2025, alongside Pawtopia for pet-focused retail.

Future-Forward Dining

NEXTOPIA introduces responsible dining concepts committed to clean energy, zero waste and sustainable sourcing. Highlights include Thailand’s first L’antica Pizzeria Da Michele and Gordon Ramsay Street Burger, as well as %Arabica, Dean & Deluca, Gelateria Kitokki and GROW by getfresh. Level 4 features EATELIER, Bangkok’s first Eat–Drink–Chill Hub, blending food, music and culture through global collaborations.

A New Era for Siam Paragon

NEXTOPIA launches as Siam Paragon completes its most significant transformation in 20 years. The unveiling coincides with the opening of MELAND, one of the world’s most advanced indoor theme parks. Together, they mark a bold new era for Siam Paragon as a global industry game-changer and future-forward destination.
