Red Bull Dance Your Style Asia Tour Lands in Kuala Lumpur

There’s a new rhythm pulsing through Kuala Lumpur—and it’s louder, bolder and more global than ever. For the first time, Malaysia joins the Red Bull Dance Your Style Asia Tour, signalling a major milestone for the country’s fast-evolving street dance culture.
More than just a tour stop, this debut represents a powerful shift. It places Malaysia firmly on the international dance map, connecting its homegrown talent with some of the world’s most celebrated dancers. For a scene that has long thrived underground, this is a moment of recognition—and opportunity.
Global icons, local energy

Leading the charge are four internationally acclaimed dancers, each bringing their own style and story to the Malaysian stage. Among them is Waackxxxy, the 2023 world champion known for her expressive waacking style, alongside The D Soraki, whose hip-hop prowess earned him the 2022 global title.
They are joined by Majid, a standout from Germany’s competitive dance circuit, and Poppin C, whose precise popping technique has earned international recognition. Together, they represent the diversity and creativity that define contemporary street dance.

But this isn’t just about watching—it’s about participation. On 6 April, these global names will host exclusive workshops, offering Malaysian dancers rare access to professional insights, techniques and the mindset required to compete on the world stage.
From the streets to the world stage

The energy spills onto the streets the following day, with a live showcase at Lot 10 Bukit Bintang. Here, the barriers between performer and audience blur, as international champions and local dancers come together in an open, high-energy exchange right in the heart of the city.
It’s this grassroots spirit that defines Red Bull Dance Your Style—where musicality, individuality and crowd connection matter just as much as technical skill.

Beyond Kuala Lumpur, the momentum continues. The Malaysia stop serves as a key lead-up to the Southeast Asia Regional Qualifier and Final in Singapore, where dancers from across the region will compete for a place at the World Final in Zurich later this year.
For Malaysia’s dance community, the message is clear: the stage is no longer distant. It’s here, it’s now—and it’s ready for those bold enough to step into it.
