The Macan name by Porsche made its debut in 2014 and within a year it was Porsche’s best selling vehicle in its lineup as the world become SUV hungry.

Did you know that Porsche’s history begins electrically. Yes, way back In 1898, Ferdinand Porsche spearheaded electromobility with the Egger-Lohner C.2 Phaeton car powered by an electric motor.

A question often asked and yes it is equally shared between male and female owners. It is not a ‘ladies’ SUV. Porsche 911 owners (men) will find the Macan the right business vehicle for meetings, lunches, golfing and site visits. It allows 4 adults in great comfort and 5 with some thigh pinching at the rear.

Porsches are renowned for their faultless ergonomics, and the Macan is a prime example of the company’s ability to make you feel at ease behind the wheel. Getting comfortable behind the wheel is no problem, though, as both driver’s seat and helm offer a wide range of adjustments.

The new Porsche Macan is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, featuring 800-volt technology and a 100 kWh battery. The top spec Turbo variant, delivers 639PS of power and 1,130Nm of torque and achieves the century sprint in just 3.3 seconds. It also features a top speed of 260km/h.

Moreover, charging the battery from 10 to 80 percent takes only 21 minutes. Meanwhile, there are four variants of this Porsche electric SUV to choose, namely the ‘Macan’ which goes for RM430,000 and has a range of 641KM, the ‘Macan 4’ which costs RM445,000 with 612KM of range, then you have the ‘Macan 4S’ which sets you back RM525,000 and is good for 606KM and finally you have the ‘Macan Turbo’ which goes for RM635,000 and is good for 590KM of range.
