Disney+ is set to premiere The Husband, a new Korean crime thriller that follows a successful doctor whose life unravels when his wife disappears under mysterious circumstances.
Launching on 4 July, the series centres on Taeju, a respected neurosurgeon whose marriage to hospital chairperson Seyun has deteriorated after years of conflict. After four years of unhappiness, Taeju decides to seek a divorce. However, the day after he makes his decision, Seyun vanishes without a trace.

As investigators begin searching for answers, suspicion quickly falls on Taeju, who becomes the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. Forced to stay ahead of the authorities while trying to uncover what happened, he finds himself caught in a race to clear his name and find Seyun before it is too late.
Namkoong Min stars as Taeju, adding another leading role to his credits that include Our Movie and One Dollar Lawyer. Lee Sul, known for Gold Land and Our Movie, plays Seyun, a disciplined and ambitious hospital executive whose sudden disappearance drives the story.

The series is directed by Kim Junghyun, whose previous work includes Hyper Knife and Crazy Love, and written by Jung Jaeha.
The Husband joins Disney+’s growing slate of Korean thrillers and crime dramas. Other recent titles on the platform include Gold Land, which follows a woman fleeing after discovering a vehicle filled with gold bars; Made In Korea, about an intelligence agent leading a double life as an international criminal; and The Manipulated, which centres on a man wrongly imprisoned for a crime he did not commit.
The Husband begins streaming on Disney+ from 4 July.
