The two brands will give us a pair of shoes and a movie

Japanese Fashion Brand Onitsuka Tiger has just announced that they will be collaborating with the Anime Uruseiyatsura to give the fans not one gift, but two — a pair of shoes inspired by a character in this new anime and a brand new movie of the anime as well. Anime fans are going to be spoilt for choice with this.

This is very much in line with the usual offerings from Onitsuka Tiger. The brand has always been known to present us with contemporary collections that combine fashion with sports as well as heritage with innovation and this new collection also manages to do this perfectly.

Moreover, Uruseiyatsura is a brand new anime that just started airing in October 2022 and the Japanese brand also had a hand in the anime too. In the first episode of the anime, the main character, Ataru Moroboshi, was wearing the Japanese brand’s  iconic model MEXICO 66 while playing tag.

To commemorate this, the two brand’s are working together on a special movie based on the anime with a completely original story. This movie will see the production team work closely with the brand to draw the visuals for the movie which will also be released along with the movie itself.

The two brands will release sets of fashion accessories at certain Onitsuka Tiger stores and on the brand’s e-commerce website starting on Saturday, 29 October 2022. These will be limited to 700 pairs in 15 countries around the globe.

What’s more, only 30 pairs of these shoes will be sold at the Onitsuka Tiger flagship store in Takashimaya S.C. and on the Onitsuka Tiger website. There will also be a limited time pop-up store open at Onitsuka Tiger Shibuya 2 from 29 October 2022 to 6 November 2022 for the more enthusiastic fans.
