Nike Retains Crown As World’s Most Valuable Apparel Brand

Every year, leading brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance puts 5,000 of the biggest brands to the test, and publishes over 100 reports, ranking brands across all sectors and countries. The world’s top 50 most valuable and strongest apparel brands are included in the annual Brand Finance Apparel 50 2023 ranking.Nike

On top of that, Brand Finance has closely kept track of all the apparel brands in the world and officially released the rankings. To absolutely nobody’s surprise, the apparel brand that claimed the crown the last time around, managed to hold on to it again this time. It is none other than Nike.

Just Do It… Again!

Moreover, Nike (brand value down 6 percent to USD 31.3 billion retains its title as the world’s most valuable apparel brand, despite losing brand value, according to a new report from leading brand valuation consultancy, according to Brand Finance. Nike

Following Nike on the list of the top 10 most valuable apparel brands are Louis Vuitton in second valued at USD 26.3 billion, Chanel in third valued at USD 19.4 billion, Gucci in fourth valued at USD 17.8 billion and adidas in fifth valued at USD 15.7 billion. Rolex came in tenth valued at USD 10.7 billion (up 28 percent).

Rolex Goes Strong

Despite only being the tenth most valuable brand overall, Rolex is actually the strongest apparel brand in terms of marketing investment, stakeholder equity, and business performance with an 87.8 percent rating followed by Dior in second at 87 percent and Louis Vuitton in third at 86.2 percent.Nike

Sustainability Rules

In terms of sustainability, Nike once again came out on top with the highest Sustainability Perceptions Value in the 2023 apparel ranking, at USD 2.3 billion. The brand’s ‘Move to Zero’ sustainability campaign has garnered global attention and Nike is also actively involving athletes in its sustainability efforts in a bid to enhance consumer awareness about sustainability.

Louis Vuitton came in second in terms of sustainability being valued at USD 1.9 million, followed by Chanel in third being valued at USD 1.5 million and Gucci claiming the fourth spot being valued at USD 1.3 million and adidas rounding off the top 5 most sustainable brands with a value of USD 1.1 million.Nike
