Minor Hotels has made waves with the opening of its first NH Hotels & Resorts property in the Indian Ocean. The NH Maldives Kuda Rah Resort, debuting on 1 September 2024, promises a stunning escape in South Ari Atoll, just a 25-minute seaplane ride from Malé, the Maldives’ capital.
A Stunning View
This intimate resort, with only 51 deluxe suites and villas, offers guests a unique blend of modern luxury and natural beauty. Each suite and villa spans 90 to 231 square metres, featuring private courtyards or beach-facing pools.
The interior design, characterised by solid wood floors, a palette of whites and ocean blues, and charming pitched roofs, creates a serene retreat that celebrates Maldivian aesthetics. Marine enthusiasts will find the resort’s location ideal, with easy access to world-renowned dive and snorkel sites. 
Marine AppreciationThe nearby Kuda Rah Thila is a highlight, known for its vibrant corals and diverse marine life, including blue striped snappers, turtles, and occasional reef sharks. The atoll also offers opportunities to spot whale sharks and manta rays, with over 50 dive sites accessible by short boat rides.
