What’s more, the new experience includes a special Buddhist Lent menu, daily yoga sessions, two spa treatments and cultural immersions.
On 29 October, The Festival of Light will also see travellers and locals alike delight in the parade’s magical atmosphere, where wax candles and paper lanterns illuminate the UNESCO heritage town of Luang Prabang. Guests of La Residence Phou Vao can witness the Festival of Lights parade and immerse themselves in it too.
Cultural Immersion And Rejuvenation
Moreover, following the annual Run For Children: Luang Prabang Half Marathon, which raises funds for the Lao Friends Hospital for Children, providing free high-quality medical care to over 15,000 children each year, La Residence Phou Vao has curated an exclusive package designed to reinvigorate runners for a swift and relaxing recovery.
The Art Of Eating Well
In homage to the end of the Buddhist Lent, the hotel’s flagship restaurant Tam Nan will launch a Buddhist Lent menu inspired by the pureness and natural simplicity of temple food, delving into Luang Prabang’s sacred culture and time-honoured heritage.
This unique culinary experience will be forged with Tam Nan’s signature revival of age-old Laotian tradition, by way of slow cooking methods and a legendary ‘Heart-to-Table’ concept led by Executive Chef Larisa Vesterbacka. Meals are purposefully tailored to the nutritional needs of marathon runners, ensuring optimal natural electrolytes to recharge quickly.

In the town of Luang Prabang, each moment of the day brings different energies: by day, the city continues to its laidback ways, shrouded by the healing energy of Mount Phousi and by night, one can stroll along the glowing city in honour of the festivities, at this end of Buddhist Lent.
