Honda Malaysia Expands Hybrid Line-Up With Dual e:HEV Variants In The New CR-V

Honda Malaysia has expanded its electrified offering with the introduction of two hybrid variants within the New CR-V line-up, marking the first time the model features dual e:HEV options in Malaysia.
The New CR-V is now available in the e:HEV E and the flagship e:HEV RS, reinforcing the brand’s broader hybrid growth strategy while maintaining the SUV’s long-standing appeal in the local market. The move reflects Honda’s push to make hybrid technology more accessible, while retaining its “Fun To Drive” philosophy.
At the core of both hybrid variants is a 2.0-litre e:HEV powertrain producing 184PS and 335Nm of torque. Designed to balance performance and efficiency, the system automatically switches between EV Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive depending on real-time conditions. An exclusive Individual Drive Mode on the e:HEV variants allows drivers to tailor driving dynamics according to preference, adding a layer of personalisation to the hybrid experience.
Updated Features

Beyond performance, the New CR-V introduces a suite of technology upgrades across all variants. A 9-inch Advanced Display Audio system now comes standard, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, alongside integrated Google Audio Services for navigation, voice commands and app access.
For the first time, the model also features a Digital Key, enabling owners to lock, unlock and start the vehicle via a mobile device. Remote Window Close and Remote Power Tailgate functions are integrated within the Honda CONNECT application, enhancing everyday convenience.
Safety enhancements further strengthen the SUV’s appeal. Blind Spot Information and Cross Traffic Monitor are now standard, assisting drivers during lane changes and when reversing out of parking spaces. These features complement the CR-V’s established reputation as a family-focused SUV with practical usability.

Design refinements include a new Blazing Red Pearl exterior option and distinct 18-inch alloy wheel finishes separating hybrid and turbocharged variants. Inside, the e:HEV RS gains a darker dashboard finish and RS-embossed seats, reinforcing its flagship positioning.
With pricing starting from RM178,200 for the e:HEV E and RM195,900 for the e:HEV RS (on-the-road without insurance), the New CR-V underscores Honda Malaysia’s continued commitment to electrified mobility within the competitive SUV segment.
