HARMAN Ready Ride

HARMAN International has introduced Ready Ride, a new end-to-end connectivity platform designed specifically for the growing global two-wheeler market. Developed as part of the company’s broader automotive technology ecosystem under Samsung Electronics, the platform brings together rugged hardware, scalable software and integrated telematics to support the next generation of connected motorcycles.

As riders increasingly expect navigation, safety tools and digital features similar to those found in cars, Ready Ride aims to close the connectivity gap within the motorcycle segment. The platform combines a compact telematics control unit (TCU), cellular connectivity and an intelligent software stack that allows manufacturers to deploy connected features across multiple models and markets more efficiently.

Future Of Two-Wheel Mobility

A key focus of Ready Ride is durability. Built for real-world riding conditions, the system is designed to withstand vibration, weather exposure and demanding environments where traditional smartphone-based solutions often fall short. With IP69-rated sealing and motorcycle-grade shock resistance, the platform is engineered to remain reliable across both urban commutes and long-distance touring routes.

Beyond hardware resilience, the platform supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, enabling manufacturers to roll out software enhancements remotely. This allows motorcycles to receive new features, performance improvements and system updates throughout their lifecycle without requiring dealership visits. Remote diagnostics also help reduce maintenance downtime while improving overall vehicle reliability.

Ready Ride’s roadmap also includes safety and security capabilities such as crash detection, forward collision alerts and theft tracking. These features are designed to provide riders with greater awareness and faster response during emergencies, while offering manufacturers additional opportunities to differentiate their connected models.

The platform is powered in part by connectivity technology developed with Qualcomm Technologies, supporting advanced navigation and real-time data functions across varied riding environments. Compatibility with smartphone ecosystems further enhances usability, allowing riders to access familiar navigation and media interfaces through integrated displays.

As connectivity becomes an increasingly important part of mobility innovation, Ready Ride reflects a broader shift toward smarter, software-driven motorcycles. By combining durability, scalability and digital integration, the platform positions connected two-wheelers as a growing frontier within the global automotive landscape.
