With Southeast Asia’s passion for motorsport, fashion and street culture gaining pace, PUMA has unveiled its latest PUMA x McLaren Racing Collection in Jakarta. The launch marks a significant regional milestone within PUMA’s global partnership with McLaren Racing.

The event coincides with the simultaneous worldwide reveal of the McLaren Formula 1 Team’s 2026 livery, the MCL40. On Monday, 9 February 2026, Jakarta joined Las Vegas, London and Bahrain as one of only four cities globally to host the landmark unveiling.

Motorsport Energy Meets Street Culture

Rooted in the spirit of fans who bring unrivalled energy to the sport, the debut lifestyle collection translates motorsport heritage into contemporary streetwear. Standout pieces include racing-inspired shorts and trousers, alongside football-style jerseys reimagined through modern silhouettes designed for everyday wear — on and off the grid.

“For PUMA, motorsport is not only about performance on the track, but also about how racing energy lives within everyday culture,” said Sanjay Roy, Managing Director, PUMA Southeast Asia & Oceania. He noted that Indonesia — particularly Jakarta — has a vibrant youth community deeply connected to fashion and streetwear, making it a natural setting to reinterpret motorsport inspiration as wearable lifestyle pieces.

A Global Moment with Regional Significance

As part of the synchronised global unveiling, Jakarta served as Southeast Asia’s representative city for the reveal of the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team’s 2026 MCL40 livery. The moment underscores the region’s growing influence within the global motorsport and lifestyle landscape.

Selected for its role as a cultural and creative hub, Jakarta’s activation featured an immersive laser mapping performance ahead of the MCL40 reveal. The event blended fashion, lifestyle and Formula 1 spectacle, offering fans a shared viewing experience that brought a major global motorsport moment closer to home.

By merging performance heritage with street culture, PUMA and McLaren Racing have reinforced their shared vision: to extend the energy of Formula 1 beyond the circuit and into everyday urban life — with Southeast Asia firmly in the driving seat.
