Marriott Bonvoy And KHATAM Mark Ramadan and Raya With Culture-Led Collaboration
Share
This Ramadan and Raya, Marriott Bonvoy partners Malaysian fashion label KHATAM to present A Memory Etched In Time, a festive collaboration that unites contemporary design, traditional craftsmanship and warm hospitality across selected Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Malaysia.
Running from 18 February to 20 March 2026, the initiative offers guests and loyalty members a curated series of experiences, including Ramadan dining, exclusive festive merchandise and cross-brand privileges designed to enhance the season of togetherness. Rooted in shared values of storytelling and craftsmanship, the collaboration reflects both brands’ commitment to meaningful, people-first experiences.

At the heart of the campaign are two signature KHATAM creations designed exclusively for Marriott Bonvoy. The Samping Tampuk Kecepu draws from Malay symbolism, where “tampuk” represents the moment a flower becomes fruit — a metaphor for renewal, balance and continuity. Woven in brocade with a subtle sheen, the piece balances structured lines with delicate floral motifs, embodying refinement and intention.

Complementing this is the Artisan Clay Batik, handcrafted by master artisans in Kelantan using traditional clay batik techniques. Each piece carries subtle variations in motif and texture, reflecting the patience and generational knowledge embedded in the craft. Together, these designs honour heritage while embracing contemporary sensibilities.

Limited-edition Raya cookie boxes and Sampul Raya, designed by Malaysian artist Osman Akbar, will be available exclusively at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral and The Westin Kuala Lumpur. The campaign also introduces Breaking Fast in Style, offering KHATAM Loyalist members up to 20% off selected Ramadan buffets at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels, while Marriott Bonvoy members enjoy 10% off selected KHATAM Raya collections.
Anchoring the collaboration is Faces of Hospitality, a social storytelling series spotlighting Marriott associates dressed in KHATAM attire, sharing personal reflections on serving guests during Ramadan.
Beyond the festive season, the partnership will continue under the banner Loyal to Tradition, integrating both loyalty ecosystems through curated privileges and future lifestyle collaborations.
