With offices spanning Beijing, Los Angeles, and Rome, MAD Architects has garnered global acclaim for blending cutting-edge technology with an Eastern reverence for natural forms.

This unique approach is now showcased in their bold reinterpretation of Fendi’s iconic Peekaboo ISeeU bag and their futuristic Fendi MAD sneaker. Under the artistic direction of Silvia Venturini Fendi and MAD Architects’ visionary Ma Yansong, the Peekaboo ISeeU bag has been transformed into a striking piece of art.

The classic bag, renowned for its timeless design, now features deconstructed elements crafted from varnished aluminium. These pieces, which segment the bag’s smooth leather facade, are a direct nod to MAD’s signature curvilinear architectural style. The bag’s new wave-like forms create a dynamic sense of movement, with a ripple effect that flows seamlessly across the surface and extends gracefully to the bag’s bottom right corner.

Design Collaboration

The collaboration extends to footwear with the introduction of the Fendi MAD sneaker. This slip-on shoe continues Fendi’s trailblazing approach to men’s fashion with its organic design. The sneaker boasts an injection-moulded sole and upper, featuring two-tone bubble details and shaded metallic accents.

Additionally, its low, flat profile not only enhances its ergonomic appeal but also contributes to an aerodynamic, futuristic silhouette that complements the innovative spirit of the collection.
