Enjoy A Wild Breakfast Experience At Singapore Zoo

Breakfast in the wild, new name, same wild experience
Singapore Zoo is bringing back their signature breakfast program after two years after it was scrapped due to the pandemic. Now rebranded as “Breakfast in the Wild,” this new and improved experience promises guests a wilder, more exciting experience while indulging in a lip smacking spread of local and international flavours.
This includes a 30-minute presentation featuring a whole Disney Movies worth of memorable animals such as charming Orangutans, high-spirited macaws, curious tamandua (Lesser Anteaters), explosive coatimundis and cool reptiles. We reckon this will truly be a breakfast experience unlike any other.
On top of that, this unique programme initially began as “Breakfast with Ah Meng,” named after the Singapore’s celebrated Sumatran Orangutan who was something of a celebrity too. Launched in 1982, the programme eventually progressed into “Jungle Breakfast with Wildlife” before returning this year.
The wild and educational but exciting moments in the “Breakfast in the Wild” programme are perfectly accompanied by a mouth-watering feast, meticulously crafted with ingredients that are friendly to both the wildlife and the planet. This not only makes the whole experience exhilarating, but also sustainable.
Speaking of sustainable, all food items are cooked with sustainably sourced palm oil. What’s more, you can also enjoy the taste of wildlife-friendly OWA coffee sourced from farm grown coffee beans under the natural shade of trees in Java, Indonesia. Do note that the menu intentionally omits beef due to its high environmental impact.
Additionally, you can also make lasting memories in the free-and-easy interaction area and photo points, where you can take photos as a keepsake. Alternatively, you can also visit the retail kiosk opposite Ah Meng Terrace, where you can purchase professionally taken, high quality photos for a high definition memory experience.
Breakfast in the Wild will be served between 9.00 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. on weekends and public holidays at, you guessed it, the Singapore Zoo. Keep in mind that Friends of Wildlife, Friends of Wildlife Plus and Friends of the Zoo members are entitled to a 20 per cent discount.
While it is perfectly acceptable to just stroll over to enjoy this experience, do keep in mind that this experience is extremely popular and works on a first-come-first-serve basis, so we recommend you make an advanced booking of at least three days to ensure a smooth experience.
