Dyson has announced the launch of its latest innovation in haircare: the Dyson Omega Nourishing Range. Engineered to strengthen hair and maximise shine, the new line is powered by the Dyson Oli7 blend — a unique combination of seven omega-rich oils, including sunflower oil grown on Dyson’s own farms in Lincolnshire, UK.

This second formulations range represents the convergence of 13 years of agricultural expertise and 12 years of hair science. The result is a nature-meets-technology approach to solving the common problem of dry, frizzy, and brittle hair — with a focus on performance, sustainability, and ingredient integrity.

“We’ve brought together two completely different worlds – farming and beauty – to develop a product that unlocks healthy hair using natural ingredients,” said Sir James Dyson, Founder of Dyson and Dyson Farming. “Omega is the first Dyson product to feature an ingredient grown on Dyson Farms.”

The Dyson Omega range includes two hero products – a hydrating hair oil, a silicone-free, concentrated formula that smooths, seals moisture, and restores softness. A multi-functional leave-in conditioning spray that nourishes, detangles, reduces frizz, and protects hair from UV and heat damage.

At the heart of both products lies the Dyson Oli7 blend, comprising sunflower, olive, abyssinian, corn, avocado, sesame, and macadamia oils. These were carefully selected for their moisturising, lightweight, and antioxidant properties.

The sunflower oil is particularly noteworthy. Grown across a nine-hectare field of over 800,000 sunflowers, it is rich in essential fatty acids that penetrate the hair shaft without build-up. Dyson Farming has spent years refining its cultivation methods — trialling over 60 sunflower varieties, conducting soil testing, and balancing micronutrients to ensure optimal results.

In true Dyson fashion, the product design reflects thoughtful engineering. The conditioning spray transforms from a cream to a fine mist via a custom spray mechanism. Meanwhile, the hair oil is housed in a bespoke glass bottle designed for stability, ease of use, and aesthetic appeal.

Currently available only in select global markets, the Dyson Omega Nourishing Range delivers not only performance but also a sensorial experience — from its citrus-floral-woody scent profile to its innovative packaging.
