This June, W Kuala Lumpur turns up the heat with W Refresh Weekend, a two-day celebration of world-class mixology, Afro-Caribbean cuisine, and high-energy experiences. Taking place on 20 and 21 June 2025, the event promises a dynamic collaboration between COA Hong Kong – ranked No. 4 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars – and KL’s own cult-favourite restaurant, Joloko.

The weekend invites guests to experience bold Latin American spirits, flame-grilled eats, and vibrant W energy across two unforgettable days.

Weekend Line-Up

On 20 June at the W Living Room, Level 8, the weekend kicks off with an exclusive Cocktail Masterclass by the renowned team from COA, running from 2PM to 4PM. Guests will delve into the world of agave spirits, learning the craft behind COA’s award-winning cocktail creations and the cultural stories that inspire them.

From 8PM onwards, COA takes over the bar with a guest shift, serving their signature mezcal-forward cocktails in a rare Malaysian appearance. Each drink channels Latin American roots with contemporary flair.

Complementing the cocktails, W Kuala Lumpur’s pastry team will offer a curated selection of inventive desserts, pairing sweet textures and bold flavours with the evening’s spirited creations.

On Saturday, the party continues poolside at WET Deck, Level 12 where Joloko brings the heat with an all-day BBQ pop-up. Expect Afro-Caribbean fire-grilled fare – from spiced seafood to jackfruit tacos and tender ribs – served alongside tropical beats and laid-back luxe vibes.

As the sun sets, COA returns for a second guest shift, transforming WET Deck into an agave-fuelled paradise. With tropical botanicals and expertly crafted cocktails, the evening promises bold flavour and high energy well into the night.
