It features six more artists for this fourth iteration
The all new fourth drop of the Louis Vuitton Artycapucines collection is here and this time it sees six more leading contemporary artists bringing their unique vision to the forefront through the brand’s timeless and feminine classic Capucines bag.
What’s more, the fourth chapter of this Louis Vuitton limited-edition Artycapucines collection is a testament to the unrivaled creativity that this iconic bag can evoke. This time, this creativity is portrayed by Daniel Buren, Kennedy Yanko, Park Seo-Bo, Amelie Bertrand, Peter Marino and Ugo Rondinone.
Moreover, all six of these contemporary talents bring their unique visions to these iconic bags which got their name from Rue Nueve-des-Capucines, which coincidentally also Louis Vuitton opened its first store in 1854 and transformed a blank canvas into a contemporary masterpiece.
Adding to the creativity of the first three chapters of Artycapucines, this fourth Louis Vuitton drop, featuring nine new designs, showcases the potential of this collection to blend talent and craftsmanship almost perfectly, courtesy of the French Maison’s masterful artisans.
Daniel Buren’s signature black and white stripes, Kennedy Yanko’s 3d-printed elements, Park Seo-Bo’s signature Ecitures paintings being textured and embellished in calfskin and Amelie Bertrand’s striking vision being ingeniously hand-sprayed onto the bags to make them shift colours are all featured prominently on these Louis Vuitton bags.
The bags also feature Peter Marino’s projection of power and exclusive clasp in his all-black design along with Ugo Rondinone’s cheeky yet expressively colourful harlequin-styled bag covered in over 14,000 hand stitched beads. To sweeten the deal, Louis Vuitton will be presenting each of these bags in their own specially designed gift box for the season.
It is almost as if Louis Vuitton envisioned so much creativity for this Artycapucines drop that the Maison decided to layer in creativity on top of their creativity. Not that we’re complaining, quite the contrary actually as we would not expect any less from a total of six exceptionally talented and highly skilled artists.
This new drop which thus far, on top of the six powerhouse artists mentioned earlier, also features designs from renowned artists like Henry Taylor, Beatriz Milhazes, Urs Fischer, Zhao Zhao, Vik Muniz, Paoloa Pivi and Tschabalala Self, is further evidence of the constantly innovating spirit of Louis Vuitton personified. Each bag is limited to 200 units so be quick if you want one.
