Aston Martin Breitling

Aston Martin and Breitling have announced a new official partnership, bringing together two heritage brands bound by a shared fascination with speed, engineering excellence and timeless design. The collaboration marks the rekindling of a relationship that has quietly echoed through more than a century of automotive and horological history, with the first co-created timepiece set to launch in the third quarter of 2026.

Both brands were born at the dawn of the modern age, shaped by innovation and performance. In 1907, Breitling founder Léon Breitling introduced the Vitesse, the first chronograph capable of measuring speeds up to 250 miles or kilometres per hour — a groundbreaking instrument that would later be adopted by Swiss police to issue the world’s first speeding tickets.

Around the same time in England, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford were testing a hand-built sports car in a defining hill climb race at Aston Hill. The victory gave birth to the Aston Martin name, cementing speed at the heart of the brand’s identity.

Shared History

By the 1960s, both marques had evolved into global symbols of style and modern engineering. Breitling’s Top Time chronograph, introduced by Willy Breitling, embodied the optimism and energy of a new generation, while Aston Martin’s DB5 became an icon of automotive design.

Their paths famously crossed on screen in the James Bond universe — the Top Time appearing on Sean Connery’s wrist in Thunderball (1965), while the DB5 made its legendary return alongside it. Together, they captured a cultural moment where sophistication, innovation and speed converged.

The collaboration will extend across design, engineering and motorsport, reflecting both brands’ ongoing commitment to pushing boundaries. The partnership launches with the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Formula One Team edition, signalling Breitling’s renewed presence in the world of racing.

Fans can also expect a series of exclusive releases throughout the multi-year collaboration, celebrating the intersection of precision timekeeping and high-performance motoring.

As Aston Martin and Breitling look to the future, this alliance stands as a tribute to their intertwined histories — and a statement of intent for what lies ahead, where speed, style and engineering continue to move in perfect synchrony.
