Berjaya Air has officially taken delivery of the world’s first ATR 72-600 aircraft featuring ATR’s new HighLine all-business class configuration, setting a new benchmark for premium regional travel.
The aircraft touched down in Kuala Lumpur on 20 May 2026 following certification from European and Malaysian aviation authorities earlier this month. The delivery also marks Berjaya Air’s first ATR 72-600 aircraft.

Configured with just 26 seats in a spacious 1-by-1 layout, the cabin offers direct aisle access and enhanced privacy for every passenger. The aircraft features handcrafted ETEREA seats by Geven, executive-style ceiling panels replacing traditional overhead bins, and a brighter, more open cabin design inspired by private jet travel.
Berjaya Air will begin commercial operations in the coming days, starting with a new Subang–Koh Samui route before expanding services across Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. The airline will also deploy the aircraft for charter operations throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Nathalie Tarnaud Laude said the launch demonstrates the versatility of the ATR platform while opening new opportunities for premium regional aviation.
A second ATR 72-600 in the same all-business class configuration is expected to join Berjaya Air’s fleet in the third quarter of 2026.
