Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Returns In 2023 For The First Time Since 2019
The event reverts to an in-person event in Singapore
The Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants award ceremony was last held in 2019 due to restrictions caused by the worldwide pandemic. But now after 4 years, the awards ceremony will return with a regular in-person format on 28 March 2023.
Last year saw the reveal of the list celebrated with a series of live events across Bangkok, Hong Kong and Tokyo and more. This year, in collaboration with host destination partner, Singapore Tourism Board, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants returns to celebrate its 10-year anniversary, which debuted in the Lion City in 2013.
Moreover, the award ceremony is a treat to foodies like us and chefs. The event will see restaurateurs, media and gastronomes gather in March to celebrate the richness and diversity of Asian cuisines.
William Drew, Director of Content for Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, said, “We are thrilled to announce Singapore as the location of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 awards ceremony this March and to be working with our established destination partner, Singapore Tourism Board.”
One of the key highlights of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants award ceremony will include the first Asia-based version of 50 Best Signature Sessions. This presents a series of collaborative dining events featuring chefs from across the globe teaming up with local talent. The best part is this is also open to the public.
The list is created from the votes of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy. This influential gender-balanced group is made up of over 300 industry leaders such as food writers and critics, chefs, restaurateurs and regional culinary experts. Each member votes for 10 restaurants.
