In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur is set to host an exclusive, one-night-only soirée that promises to delight discerning palates with an exceptional pairing of fine wines and Cantonese gastronomy. Taking place on Thursday, 26 September at the Shang Palace, the evening will feature the prestigious wines of Château Haut-Brion, one of Bordeaux’s most legendary estates.

The elegant affair presents a rare opportunity for wine connoisseurs and culinary enthusiasts to explore a curated selection of wines from Clarendelle, La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion, Dragon de Quintus, and the iconic Château Haut-Brion itself. A special limited-edition vintage, created in honour of Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur’s milestone year, will also be unveiled on the night.
Guiding the wine experience will be Jérémie Roumegoux, a representative of Clarence Dillon Wines, who brings with him extensive expertise shaped by years in the wine industry across France and Japan.

Complementing the selection of Château Haut-Brion wines is a meticulously crafted seven-course Cantonese menu by Chef Keith Yeap, the newly appointed Chinese Executive Chef at Shang Palace. Each course has been thoughtfully paired with a specific wine to create a harmonious culinary journey that bridges Eastern tradition with French winemaking excellence.
Priced at RM510 nett per person, the 40th Anniversary Soirée offers an exclusive evening of luxury, flavour, and celebration. Reservations are essential as seats are limited. For bookings or further information, guests are encouraged to contact Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur directly.
