The brand unveils new art deco timepieces

Ralph Lauren Watches and Jewelry launched in 2008 and ever since, the collection has combined the highest-quality Swiss-manufacture movements and the most iconic inspirations from the brand. Now in line with the brand’s excellence, Ralph Lauren is translating high horology into everyday luxury with the four new additions to the brand’s 867 timepiece collection. This new collection of timepieces is being reinterpreted with the elegance of the Art Deco era into a polished, pragmatic designs for how men live today.

The design of the all new 867 timepieces are so elegant, in fact, that the simplicity of the watch alone sets the timepiece apart from the rest. Mr. Lauren himself stated, “Though the collections I create may be inspired by dreams, they are for real life—for all kinds of living.”

Moreover, the signature square design of the Ralph Lauren 867 collection of timepieces blends the classicism of a pure and simple watch that displays only the time which is the essential information and the modernity of the Art Deco Style. This makes for a simple yet desirable watch perfect for both formal and casual settings.

The Ralph Lauren 867 timepiece collection features classical proportions with a symmetrical and square shaped case in either a 28mm or 32mm case finished in either sterling silver or 18k rose gold. It is also lacquered in white dials consisting of concentric squares with Arabic and Roman Numerals complete with sleek Breguet-style watch hands.

Furthermore, the Ralph Lauren 867 timepiece collection was crafted in the elite tradition of Swiss horology. Both the 28mm and 32mm watches are both powered by an “extra-flat” mechanical manual winding Swiss movement. This adds to the high quality but simplistic design of the watch.

The watch hands of the Ralph Lauren 867 timepiece collection are finished with vertical Cotes de Geneve stripes and circular graining, known as Perlage. What’s more, the interchangeable shiny black alligator strap is hand-stitched using the best quality of skins to complete the sophisticated look of the tuxedo cuff with either a sterling silver or rose gold pin buckle.

The Ralph Lauren 867 timepiece collection was inspired by the designer’s iconic New York men’s flagship at 867 Madison Avenue and represents the pinnacle of fine craftsmanship in the designer’s undying passion for Art Deco design.
