PUMA has introduced the Speedcat Croc, a new interpretation of its low-profile Speedcat sneaker that combines the silhouette’s motorsport heritage with contrasting textures. Featuring global artist Rosé in its campaign, the release adds glossy crocodile-textured detailing to the familiar design.

The Speedcat Croc retains the streamlined profile associated with the original silhouette, distinguished by a soft suede upper and polished overlays across the Formstrip and eyestays. The combination of matte suede and reflective, embossed surfaces gives the shoe a different visual character without significantly altering its established shape.

Three colourways, contrasting textures

The collection comes in black, deep brown and off-white, with each colourway highlighting the interplay between the suede upper and glossy crocodile-textured elements. Tonal PUMA branding and matching laces maintain a consistent finish across the designs.

Rather than introducing a new silhouette, the Speedcat Croc builds on the appeal of the existing model through material choices. The result retains the shoe’s understated proportions while introducing a more pronounced textural contrast.

Originally developed with motorsport in mind, the Speedcat has evolved beyond its racing associations into a recognisable name in PUMA’s lifestyle footwear line-up. Its low-profile construction and distinctive shape have made it a recurring platform for reinterpretation, with special editions exploring different colours, finishes and materials.

The Speedcat Croc continues that approach, using crocodile-textured detailing to distinguish the latest version from the standard suede models.

Rosé fronts the campaign

Rosé, who collaborates with PUMA, leads the campaign for the new release. The accompanying visuals place the artist in a softly lit, retro-inspired interior, with the setting complementing the sneaker’s mix of familiar design and updated detailing.

The campaign centres on the Speedcat Croc’s styling rather than a change to its core silhouette, presenting the shoe as another variation on a design that has moved from the racetrack into everyday wear.

The PUMA Speedcat Croc is priced at RM579 and will be available in Malaysia from 15 October 2026 through PUMA.com and selected PUMA stores.
