Audi is heralding a new era in the mid-size segment with the launch of the S5 family, marking a significant evolution from its predecessors. Set to debut 30 years after the introduction of the first Audi S4, the S5 series boasts a refined design language that epitomises luxury and sportiness.

Internally, the Audi S5 showcases a revolutionary approach to interior design, enhancing spaciousness and integrating advanced digital displays that elevate user interaction with the vehicle. This new operating concept is part of Audi’s commitment to seamlessly blending technological innovation with intuitive usability.

Moreover, in a strategic move effective from 2024, Audi has revamped its vehicle naming conventions. Electric models will now bear even numbers, while combustion-engine counterparts will feature odd numbers. This restructuring underscores Audi’s commitment to electrification while honouring its legacy in combustion-engine technology.

The exterior of the S5 family reflects a bold departure, characterised by its dynamic proportions and muscular stance. The redesigned Sedan and Avant models feature elongated wheelbases, large wheels, and sleek, coupe-like silhouettes. The front is dominated by a wide Singleframe grille and slim headlights, while the rear showcases a sculptural design with OLED rear lights.

On top of that, inside, the S5 series introduces the Audi MMI panoramic display and a host of digital features, all orchestrated through the latest E³ electronic architecture. This setup not only connects seamlessly with the driver’s digital ecosystem but also enhances overall comfort and convenience through innovations like dynamic interaction lights.

Technological advancements extend to the powertrain with the introduction of the MHEV plus system.
