MIDO hosted its ‘Prime-Time Event 2025’, marking the world premiere of the new Multifort TV Chronograph collection, unveiled for the first time in three striking colour variations.
Reintroduced in 2023, the distinctive TV shape continues to captivate. Inspired by the cult 1970s design, its unique aesthetic is a source of fascination. In 2025, the TV collection features the first-ever chronograph complication, confirming MIDO’s watchmaking expertise.
The ‘Prime-Time Event 2025’ celebrates the exciting Asia launch of the new Multifort TV models in Bangkok, Thailand, where MIDO puts the spotlight on its latest innovation in true cinematic style. Leading the collection is the Multifort TV Chronograph, a standout piece that reflects the brand’s technical excellence and high-performance design, alongside the Multifort TV Big Date in a bold new colour.
The Multifort TV Chronograph reimagines MIDO’s signature TV-shaped silhouette with a striking chronograph complication, blending retro inspiration from the 1970s with modern performance. Its deep blue gradient dial, enhanced by a pronounced horizontal brushed finish, shifts from vivid blue to midnight tones depending on the light, while white Super-LumiNova® coated indexes and nickel-coated, diamond-cut hands ensure flawless legibility at any hour.
Three precision counters, 60 seconds, 30 minutes, and 12 hours, are complemented by a tachymeter scale and a discreet date window at 4:30. Housed in a robust 42-mm satin-finished and polished stainless steel case with a screw-down crown and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, the watch is powered by the Swiss automatic Caliber 60 movement, equipped with a Nivachron balance spring for exceptional resistance to shocks, magnetic fields, and temperature variations.
The transparent case back reveals its finely decorated movement, featuring blued screws, circular-grained bridges and a skeletonised oscillating weight engraved with the MIDO logo. With a 60-hour power reserve, 10 bar (100 m/330 ft) water resistance, and two easily interchangeable straps, a stainless steel bracelet and a blue synthetic fabric strap, the Multifort TV Chronograph delivers precision, durability and style in equal measure.
