Fans of Loewe and its fun Crafted World exhibit can see it soon in Tokyo

In Spring 2025, fashion enthusiasts and culture lovers in Tokyo will be treated to Loewe’s first major brand exhibition, Crafted World. This immersive experience celebrates the luxury fashion house’s 179-year history, rich Spanish heritage, and unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.

The Origin

The Crafted World exhibition, which first launched in Shanghai in 2024, is a travelling showcase that highlights Loewe’s evolution from a leather-making collective founded in Madrid in 1846 to a global leader in luxury fashion. Tokyo’s Harajuku district will be the next destination, marking a special milestone for Loewe, as Japan was the first country outside Europe where the brand expanded its presence in 1973.

Designed in collaboration with the renowned architectural studio OMA, Crafted World takes visitors on a multi-sensory journey through the house’s iconic designs and cultural collaborations. The exhibition is not just a display of fashion, it’s a celebration of the artistry of handcrafted creations.

For All Senses

From the sights and sounds of Spain to the allure of Parisian runways, the exhibition immerses attendees in the visionary imaginations behind Loewe’s collections, including collaborations with Studio Ghibli and Kyoto’s Suna Fujita ceramics studio.

Additionally, Tokyo’s version of Crafted World will also feature a unique selection of works that showcase Loewe’s cultural projects in Japan and beyond. Notable highlights include a video documenting the Loewe Foundation’s collaboration with the Ōnishi family, renowned for crafting ceremonial Kama tea kettles for over 400 years.
