Share

Homm, part of Banyan Group’s multi-brand ecosystem, expands its footprint with the opening of Homm Souvannaphoum Luang Prabang. The resort in Laos is Homm’s 12th hotel, adding its presence in Asia alongside China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea and Thailand.

Prestigious Abode

Once the residence of Prince Souvanna Phouma, Laos’ former prime minister, the hotel showcases a distinct blend of French colonial architecture with traditional Lao design. Featuring 24 spacious accommodations with private balconies, the conserved mansion is surrounded by verdant tropical gardens, a spa, and a swimming pool, offering guests a sense of comfort and familiarity.

Homm Luang Prabang

Measuring 29 to 34 square metres, rooms are designed to provide a homey atmosphere with comfortable beds for a good night’s sleep, soothing shower, and sensible essentials. Private balconies overlook the garden and/or pool. At 45 square metres, the Laos Suite comes with a sitting area, a large walk-in-closet, and a Victorian-style bathtub fit for a queen.

The 68 sqm Maison Suite was formerly the bedroom of Prince Souvanna Phoumma, and exudes a stately yet relaxed ambiance with a king-sized bed, a lounge area, a spacious bathroom and an airy balcony.

A Leap Of Point

Homm Souvannaphoum Luang Prabang enjoys an unbeatable central location to explore Laos’ ancient capital. The nearest markets and local attractions such as the Mekong River and Mount Phou Si are minutes away by foot. Guests can also pedal around the UNESCO World Heritage site and nearby villages at their own pace through the hotel’s complimentary bicycle rental.

For those who prefer to relax, 8LEMENTS Spa provides a worthy reprieve. Nestled within the garden grounds, the outlet offers a salutogenic space where one can experience authentic and impactful treatments such as Inner Calm, Island Dew, and Energy Flow to calm the senses and soothe the body as well as facials, body scrubs and body conditioners.

Laotian Experience

At the all-day-dining restaurant, Elephant Blanc, guests can experience comforting cuisine in a mix of casual Western fare and traditional Laotian staples such as Luang Prabang salad, Kai Pad Khing, and Lao Curry Chicken. At breakfast, guests can enjoy delicious signature buns made of pork and buffalo meat filling or watercress filling for vegetarians.  The buns are also available as an a la carte option.

For a cultural dining experience, guests can choose a royal Laotian tasting menu with 10 courses offering the best regional flavours condensed into one memorable meal. Diners can choose to have their meals indoors at the restaurant, at the tropical garden for a night under the stars, or in the comforts of their rooms.
