EQ Kuala Lumpur is bringing back the spirit of the legendary Blue Moon nightclub for one night only on 31 May 2026, reviving a defining chapter of the city’s nightlife culture.
Held in collaboration with Club Roots on LITE Drive, the Blue Moon x Club Roots experience will take over Sky51, celebrating the music and energy of the 70s, 80s and 90s with a lineup of familiar radio and club personalities.

The original Blue Moon at Hotel Equatorial was one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic nightlife destinations throughout the 80s and 90s, remembered for its energetic dancefloor, live DJs and timeless party atmosphere.
The revival event will feature LITE FM DJs Sheela, OJ, Robert Mah and Adrian G alongside DJ Phat Fabes, with sets spanning disco classics, retro pop anthems and nostalgic dance hits. The evening begins at Blue, EQ’s tribute to the original venue, before moving outdoors beneath the Kuala Lumpur skyline for the main celebration.
Guests can also enjoy a retro-inspired cocktail menu featuring classics such as the Blue Lagoon, Tequila Sunrise, Cosmopolitan and Flaming Lamborghini, alongside casual late-night bites including sliders, sausage buns and nasi lemak bungkus.

Interactive highlights include the “Make It Friends” gong celebration and a Dance Floor Challenge, where the night’s best dancer will win a DJ-selected bottle of whisky.
Entry is available via a minimum spend of RM150+ per person, inclusive of a reserved table. Private Sky Pods are also available from RM2,000+ minimum spend.
EQ is also offering a special Blue Moon stay package from 29 May to 2 June 2026, with rooms from RM630+ including breakfast for two and in-room refreshments.
