Good news for sports fans, Astro has announced the renewal of its strategic partnership with global sports broadcaster beIN SPORTS, extending their collaboration through August 2027. The extended agreement ensures that Astro Sports Pack customers will continue enjoying uninterrupted, premium coverage of the world’s most prestigious sporting events across beIN SPORTS channels and the beIN SPORTS CONNECT app.

This partnership guarantees live and on-demand access to marquee events such as Formula 1, the UEFA Champions League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Australian Open, Roland-Garros, and the ATP Tour. Whether on the big screen or via mobile devices, fans can follow their favourite sports anytime, anywhere via Astro GO or beIN SPORTS CONNECT.

Winning Partnership

Euan Smith, Group Chief Executive Officer of Astro, expressed his enthusiasm for the renewed collaboration. “Together with beIN SPORTS, we’re proud to continue bringing premium coverage of the most anticipated international tournaments and leagues to Astro customers. This renewal strengthens Astro’s position as the Home of Sports in Malaysia and delivers unique, money-can’t-buy fan experiences that deepen customer engagement.”

Mike Kerr, Managing Director of beIN Asia Pacific, echoed the sentiment. “We are proud to extend our decade-long partnership with Astro. Our shared vision has always been to bring the world’s most exciting sports closer to Malaysian fans. Beyond live coverage, this partnership has fostered unforgettable experiences that celebrate fandom and enrich the sports community in Malaysia.”

The partnership has been instrumental in broadcasting some of sport’s most iconic moments—from Cristiano Ronaldo’s unforgettable overhead kick in 2018, to Rafael Nadal’s last Grand Slam win in 2022, and Lewis Hamilton’s headline-making debut with Ferrari this year. The renewed deal promises even more captivating highlights across football, motorsport, tennis, and beyond.

With access to over 14 popular streaming platforms including Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Prime Video, and Max, Astro continues to offer flexible content options. Through the My Astro app, customers can easily manage their subscriptions, add-ons, and streaming preferences with just a few taps.

This renewed collaboration not only reaffirms Astro’s commitment to delivering top-tier sports entertainment but also supports beIN SPORTS’ continued growth in the Asia-Pacific region. Together, both brands aim to elevate the sports viewing experience for millions of Malaysian fans.
