Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max takes hands-free cleaning further

Xiaomi Robot Vacuum

Xiaomi is expanding its robot vacuum line-up with the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max, combining high-powered cleaning with AI-powered navigation and automated maintenance.

At the centre of the system is Xiaomi’s highest suction power to date at 35,000Pa, designed to pick up dust, debris, hair and particles embedded in flooring. An all-new roller mop uses running water and constant pressure to tackle stubborn stains, while a triple mechanical-arm system extends the robot’s reach around corners, edges and furniture legs.

The Robot Vacuum 6 Max is also designed to navigate more complex home environments. Its AI triple-camera system works alongside a retractable 360-degree LiDAR sensor to identify more than 320 types of obstacles and stains, allowing it to adjust its cleaning route and avoid common household objects and messes.

Its bionic dual mechanical legs allow the robot to cross individual steps of up to 6cm, while the retractable LiDAR system enables it to clean beneath spaces as low as 9.3cm.

Maintenance is largely handled by the accompanying omni station. The system can automatically empty collected dust for up to 75 days, wash the mop pad with water heated to 85°C and dry it using 50°C hot air.

The robot can also be controlled through the Xiaomi Home app, allowing users to schedule cleaning, monitor progress and manage the device remotely.

Rather than focusing solely on suction power, the Robot Vacuum 6 Max combines cleaning performance, navigation and automated maintenance in an attempt to make routine floor care less hands-on.
