Wuthering Heights will make its global streaming debut on Friday, May 1, exclusively on HBO Max. The latest adaptation of Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë is directed by Emerald Fennell, who also wrote the screenplay.

The film stars Margot Robbie as Cathy and Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, reimagining the central relationship as a darker and more intense tale of desire, obsession and emotional turmoil. The supporting cast includes Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Ewan Mitchell.

Known for her stylised and psychologically sharp storytelling, Fennell brings a contemporary perspective to one of literature’s most enduring romances. She also serves as producer alongside Josey McNamara and Robbie, with executive producers Tom Ackerley and Sara Desmond.
