Lets run through the biggest moments of the Planet Omega Exhibition together
Watchmaker, Omega, has celebrated a successful Planet Omega Exhibition and in case you missed it, we are here to recap some of the highlights from this exhibition. This is what went down at the social watch event of the year.
Astronauts Landing
In a bold celebration of “pioneering spirit,” the Planet Omega exhibition welcomed a group of renowned astronauts on Wednesday, as ambassadors Charlie Duke and Nicole Stott made an appearance at the Chelsea Factory in New York. They were joined by astronauts from the Houston-based space company, Axiom Space.
As you may well know, Omega’s role in the history of space exploration is one of the brand’s most famous stories. Ever since the Omega Speedmaster was qualified by NASA in 1965 for all manned space missions, the watches have been a critical part of the greatest missions beyond Earth, including all six moon landings.
Bond, James Bond
It was another evening to remember at the Planet Omega exhibition on Friday, as Daniel Craig made a special guest appearance at the showcase in New York. Following Thursday’s Opening Night event with Nicole Kidman, Daniel was the latest Omega ambassador to visit the display, now on at the Chelsea Factory.
The British actor has been an Omega ambassador ever since he took the role of James Bond for Casino Royale in 2006. During his visit to the Planet Omega exhibition, he was able to see many of the most recognisable Seamaster models that have appeared in over 25 years of films.
Welcoming Athletes
Finally, four extraordinary U.S. athletes were also welcomed to the Planet Omega exhibition on Friday, helping to highlight the Swiss brand’s legacy of timekeeping in sport. Olympians Noah Lyles, Nathan Chen, and Allyson Felix, along with Paralympian Oksana Masters, were special guests for the day.
