Hilton Burau Bay

Hilton has opened Hilton Burau Bay Langkawi Resort, introducing a new beachfront destination on Langkawi’s west coast as the hospitality group continues to expand its footprint in Malaysia.

Located between the Andaman Sea and the rainforest-covered slopes of Mount Mat Cincang, the resort spans nearly 22 acres and features 251 guestrooms and suites.

Accommodation ranges from terrace and deluxe rooms to executive suites, with all rooms offering a private balcony or terrace overlooking the sea, mountains or surrounding rainforest. The property also includes 16 connecting rooms designed for families and multi-generational travel.

The resort’s design takes cues from its natural surroundings, incorporating timber, stone and neutral tones throughout the property. Public spaces and guest rooms have been designed to maximise views of the coastline and tropical landscape.

F&B And More

Dining is centred around four restaurants and lounges. Gingerfire serves a mix of Asian and international cuisine, while Haliya Lounge offers coffee, light meals and locally inspired refreshments. MINGZHU focuses on the flavours of China’s Yunnan region, and Trattoria Mare brings Italian-inspired dining to a beachfront setting overlooking the Andaman Sea.

Wellness facilities include the eforea Spa, which features treatment rooms, outdoor sauna barrels and a dedicated salt room. The resort also offers three swimming pools, including family-friendly and adults-only options, as well as five smaller rock pools integrated into the landscape.

Guests looking to explore the island can join guided nature walks through the resort’s Nature Center, while recreational facilities include tennis, pickleball and basketball courts. Families are also catered for with a dedicated Kids’ Club offering a programme of creative and educational activities.

Event Spaces

For meetings, weddings and events, Hilton Burau Bay offers more than 5,400 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. The largest venue is the Orchid Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 210 guests, while the beachfront and landscaped lawns provide additional outdoor event settings.

The opening adds to Hilton’s growing Malaysian portfolio and comes ahead of the planned launches of Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur and Conrad Kuala Lumpur later this year.

To mark the launch, Hilton Honors members can earn 5,000 bonus points on stays of at least three nights booked before 31 October 2026.
