GoEV is GoCar Malaysia’s EV sharing fleet

GoCar Malaysia is a leading on-demand mobility-as-a-service platform and last year in December 2021, the brand launched a new service, GoEV programme which is an electric vehicle (EV) fleet in the Klang Valley and in the 1 year since then , GoEV has racked up more than 500,000km in total distance travelled by its EV fleet.

Thus far, more than 1,000 GoCar users in the Klang Valley area have taken the opportunity to experience the quiet and clean city driving experience provided by the GoEV programme and 90 percent of these users claim that this was their first time driving a fully-electric car.

Moreover, GoCar Malaysia is still planning to expand its fleet further and in line with this, the company intends to add more EVs to its GoEV fleet including having more than 30 units of the Nissan Leaf EV deployed across 20 zones in the Klang Valley area which will being the total number of EVs in the fleet to over 50 units.

Wong Hoe Mun, CEO of GoCar Malaysia said, “The EV market in Malaysia has been gaining momentum, specifically in the development of charging infrastructure and introduction of more EV models from various car brands. However, accessibility to the masses is still a challenge.

“The high cost of purchasing an EV is simply not viable for most Malaysians, especially given current challenging economic conditions. GoEV addresses this gap and we are proud to be the first car sharing platform to offer a compelling solution for EV in Malaysia.” He added.

The goal is to provide more affordable EV access to the general public so that everyone, not just the privileged few, can experience the EV lifestyle. Through our subscription model, potential EV buyers can also take advantage of GoEV for a longer-term experience before jumping on the bandwagon to buy one.” He concluded.

On top of that, GoCar Malaysia is celebrating the first anniversary of the GoEV programme by offering customers savings of up to 70 percent (capped at RM80) on GoEV sharing bookings with the promo code “1STGOEV” between 12 and 15 December 2022 but customers can redeem this promo until 31 January 2023.

What’s more, GoCar Malaysia will also be awarding 10 lucky users with 100,000 GoPocket Points which is equivalent to RM1,000. To ease your GoEV range anxiety, all GoEV vehicles will come with a complimentary chargEV card which gives users access to almost 300 charging stations nationwide.
