It’s awards season in the world of entertainment and thus far, it’s been an exciting few weeks with a number of big surprises. For those of you who want to check out the list of contenders, check out tvN Movies this February to view Decision To Leave.

What’s It About

The Korean film is a modern romantic thriller about a detective investigating the death of a man who fell from a mountaintop. When he meets the deceased man’s wife Seo-rae, he starts to suspect her at the same time that he begins feeling an attraction to her.

Amidst the rising tension of the crime investigation, the film delicately captures the emotions of two characters who feel a special curiosity and unexpected affinity for each other, providing an intriguing mix of suspense and romance.

Who’s In It?

Park Hae-il and Tang Wei are the leads in the film. Decision To Leave is helmed by acclaimed director Park Chan-wook, who’s impressive body of work includes The Handmaiden and Oldboy.

Why It’s Worth The Watch

Well, this far the Korean film has garnered immense critical acclaim. In April 2022, the film was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, where Park Chan-wook won Best Director.

Decision To Leave also swept awards at various film festivals and awards ceremonies, including Best Actor, Actress, Director, Screenplay and Film at the 2022 Blue Dragon Film Awards. Decision To Leave has also been nominated for International Feature Film at the upcoming 95th Academy Awards in March.

Where Can I Watch It?

You can catch the multi-award-winning film will premiere on Saturday, 11 February at 10 pm on tvN Movies (Astro CH395 (HD) & Astro GO | unifi tv CH211 (HD) & unifi playTV | tonton). An encore of the film will play on Wednesday, 15 February at 10pm on tvN Movies as well.
