Harman Kardon has unveiled the SoundSticks 5, the latest evolution of one of the most recognisable speaker systems in the world. First launched over two decades ago, the SoundSticks became an instant design icon, celebrated for its transparent form and exceptional sound quality. Today, Harman Kardon carries that legacy forward with a new model that merges advanced acoustics, intelligent controls, and atmospheric lighting for a truly multisensory experience.

The SoundSticks 5 introduces a 3-way acoustic design for richer, more detailed sound. Each satellite speaker now integrates dual silk-dome tweeters for precise high frequencies, while mid-range drivers ensure clarity and warmth across vocals and instruments. The signature down-firing subwoofer delivers deep, accurate bass that anchors the soundscape with power and balance. Together, they create an immersive listening experience suited to music, film, and gaming alike.

Elevated Design & Features

Beyond sound, the design itself continues to be a focal point. Available in transparent white or smoked glass-effect black, SoundSticks 5 is crafted from premium materials that elevate it from audio equipment to sculptural art. A new ambient lighting system introduces five nature-inspired dynamic presets — from the tranquil Ocean to the energising Sunrise — or users can set any static colour to suit their mood. The lighting synchronises subtly with audio playback, creating an atmospheric glow that transforms any space.

Control has also been refined. Discreet, touch-sensitive buttons are positioned at the base of the right satellite speaker for effortless volume and playback adjustments. More detailed settings, including EQ and lighting, can be accessed via the Harman Kardon One app. Connectivity has been enhanced with Bluetooth 5.4 and Auracast™, allowing easy pairing with multiple speakers. For home entertainment, a single HDMI ARC connection integrates seamlessly with modern TVs, supporting Dolby Audio for high-quality sound across movies and games.

A permanent fixture in New York’s Museum of Modern Art, the SoundSticks remain an enduring example of how great design and performance can coexist. With the SoundSticks 5, Harman Kardon reaffirms its commitment to turning everyday listening into an art form.
