In celebration of Ramadan, Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas and Turmeric Restaurant present Citarasa Rempah Warisan, an exclusive culinary showcase that honors the traditions of this sacred month. From 2 to 29 March, diners can embark on a flavorful journey of time-honored recipes and regional specialties that reflect the essence of togetherness, warmth and hospitality that define Ramadan.
This specially curated menu celebrates Malaysia’s diverse culinary heritage, using the finest local ingredients and authentic preparation techniques. Every dish is crafted to nourish both the body and soul, making it the perfect dining experience for families and friends gathering for Iftar.
Appetizers & Starters
Delight in vibrant dishes such as the Island Appetizer featuring foraged greens and jungle herbs, and Kerabu Delights, which includes a mix of tangy salads like Kerabu Pucuk Paku and Kerabu Daging Batang Pinang Salai. Thai influences shine through with Som Tam (Green Papaya Salad) and Yam Neua Yang (Grilled Beef Salad).
Signature Main Courses
Lauk Kawah, a tribute to regional specialties, features dishes such as Daging Rendang Penanggah (Johor-style braised beef) and Itik Salai Masak Lomak Cili Api (smoked duck in spicy coconut gravy). For a Thai twist, indulge in Phad Kra Praow Gai (stir-fried chicken with basil) and Gaeng Phed Ped Yang (duck in red curry).
