At last years Beijing Auto Show we met the Chery cute 4×4 brand, iCAR. This a direct rival to the popular Suzuki Jimny and most Japanese keicar’s.

This iCAR has an electric powertrain and light off-road capability. This Benz G-Class look-alike measures 4220mm long, 1915mm wide and 1845mm tall on a 2730mm wheelbase.

It has an approach angle of 43 degrees, a departure angle of 41 degrees and a ground clearance of 212mm.

Equipped with both single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations with battery packs sourced from CATL, it delivers a range of up to 500km and 400km respectively.

iCAR is a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) brand owned by Chery Automobile. It was established in 2023 and is focused on developing and selling EVs and range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs).

The brand is set to launch in Malaysia in May 2025, but here is the best part …… it will be known as iCAUR in Malaysia. The iCAUR brand is scheduled to debut at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 in MEAPS in May 2025.

It will be rebranded as iCAUR for international markets and also Malaysia because of trademark issues with the iCAR brand name.
