Pangaia Reimagines The Iconic Timberland Boot
This collab also gives us a cool footwear collection
We all know and love the timeless Timberland Boot. It’s a classic option for anyone who wants to step up their footwear game and now, Timberland is collaborating with Pangaia, a fashion brand that is all about sustainability and smart technology to reimagine their iconic Timberland Boot which will drop on 10 November 2022.
Pangaia is not really a luxury fashion brand per se, they are actually a materials science company rooted in purpose and innovation. The brand is known for partnering with innovators who share their values and push for change across multiple different industries. This is why they are collaborating with Timberland.
This collaboration reflects the synergies between both brands and their shared mission to inspire and equip a new generation to take the world by storm through hard work and move the world forward together.
The footwear capsule collection between Pangaia and Timberland was designed with nature in mind and combines partly natural materials with bold colours and an unmistakably Timberland style. The iconic 6-inch boot and a mule is completely remade in this new capsule and if offered in both men’s and women’s sizes.
Both brands worked closely to create the Premium Fabric 6-Inch Boot, which is an updated version of the classic boot that provides a cleaner look with subtle flaps covering the eyelets and tonal outsoles. This contemporary take on a timeless design is also made with partly renewable materials too such as responsibly grown rubber, abaca plant fiber and organically grown cotton.
These sustainably made boots come in signature Pangaia colours like Galaxy Pink, Palm Green and Timberland’s signature Wheat colour as well. What’s more, the two brands are also giving us the Fabric Slip On Mule which was designed specially for circularity.
Both the outsole and inner bootie/webbing system of the mule were made to be easily disassembled at the end of the shoe’s life. Timberland is also asking customers to send these products back after they are no longer in use so its parts can be recycled and used again. These will be in stone colour and available exclusively at Timberland.
Each of these products will be shipped with a textblock explaining the material composition used and this launch marks the next step in Pangaia’s commitment to working with communities, artists and changemakers that share the brand’s values and mission.
