Gin Mare Launches Villa Mare In Asia For Gin Enthusiasts To Enjoy

Gin Mare is the world’s first Mediterranean Gin brand
Gin Mare, the world’s number one ultra-premium gin, gave Singapore a taste of the culture, gastronomy and unique essence of the Mediterranean as guests were ushered into Asia’s first ever Villa Mare to share a special evening.
The Gin Mare villa was created for two days as the brand once again partnered with Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants as ‘Official Gin Partner’ at their awards, hosted in March in Singapore.
Where It All Began
Created in 2017, Gin Mare immediately captured the essence of the Mediterranean. Each bottle is crafted at the brand’s distillery near Barcelona using botanicals such as Arbequina olives, basil, rosemary and thyme.
This gives the gin a uniquely savoury Mediterranean flavour profile that lends itself beautifully to pairing with food. Moreover, the gin’s unmistakable taste is matched by its iconic bottle design, with its sinuous base recalling the waves of the sea.
New Partnerships
Additionally, the brand was recently acquired by global spirits company Brown-Forman, and it is set to capture the hearts of Asian communities who share the brand’s love for, and unique cultural relationship with, the sea. After all, the ‘with food’ drinking culture of Asia is in perfect harmony with that of the Mediterranean.
Alex Aves, Global Brand Director – Gins at Brown-Forman, said, “We have been so fortunate to have this opportunity to bring Villa Mare to Asia for the first time and I can confidently say, it won’t be the last! Gin Mare gets its name from the Latin term for the Mediterranean Sea, ‘our sea’ – Mare Nostrum – and encapsulates a Mediterranean lifestyle built on sharing food, drinks, and the events of life.”
“On top of that, as an island nation with a strong relationship with the sea, Singaporeans share this understanding of everyone enjoying together. It has been wonderful to bring our flavoursome gin to Singapore this week and host our industry friends at what will be the first of many Villa Mares in Singapore, and across Asia.” He added.
Gin Mare announced the renewal of its partnership with The World’s 50 Best Restaurants for the third year and is a proud sponsor of the “Art of Hospitality Award,” promoting the art of hospitality which is a quintessential value of the Mediterranean lifestyle.
