The Malaysian edition of the world’s biggest little festival celebrates its sweet 16 birthday this year with a month-long celebration. The annual SHORT+SWEET Malaysia festival returns from 30 September 2023 to 29 October 2023 at The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac).Short+Sweet

Festival Director Dato’ Dr. Faridah Merican said, “We are excited to celebrate Short+Sweet Malaysia’s 16th season with a bumper edition where we will be premiering almost 100 new works in theatre, comedy, song, dance, musical theatre and film.”Short+Sweet

Songs Of His Life

Known for his brilliant technique and captivating improvisations, Belgian jazz pianist Casimir Liberski is set to make his Malaysian debut. “Casimir Liberski’s Songs of His Life – Belgian Jazz in KL,” brought to you by The Embassy of Belgium in Kuala Lumpur and the klpac, will be performed for one-night only on 18 November 2023 in Pentas 2, klpac.Concert

Befitting his first solo outing here in Malaysia, Liberski not only brings a taste of Belgian jazz but something much more personal. He has handpicked a selection of “small masterpieces” that have marked his personal journey, weaving a collective memory as well as nostalgia that draws from jazz, classical music and pop.

Tickets for “Casimir Liberski’s Songs of His Life – Belgian Jazz in KL” are priced at RM65 flat.

Childhood Revisited

2023 is fast drawing to a close and The klpac Symphonic Band is set to end with a bang with its fundraising concert “Childhood Revisited” from 17 to 19 November at Pentas 1, klpac before flying off for their maiden international tour to Taiwan.Concert

Tickets for “Childhood Revisited” are priced at RM100 and RM68 (Music Patron) with a 15 percent discount for seniors above 60, disabled, students and educators.Short+Sweet
