Crocs Scores Another Fashion Collab, This Time With MCM

Crocs are back at it again with another fashionable collaboration. After getting tongues wagging with a partnership with Balenciaga last year, Crocs are back in fashion again, this time with MCM.
Frankly, when Crocs first arrived on the scene in 2001, no one would have expected the funky footwear to be associated with fashion. Clunky and made out of foam, the footwear was first developed as a boating shoe. However for the past two decades, Cros have grown to become more than just a pair of clogs.
For 2022, Crocs has formed a new partnership with German luxury fashion house MCM. Fusing iconic elements from both brands, the collaboration gives birth to two distinct clogs designs that are sure to add an extra edge to any outfit.
“Through melding both our brands’ most celebrated aspects, we’ve introduced a unique must-have item in celebration of summer,” explains Dirk Schönberger, Global Brand Officer MCM Worldwide. “Crocs’ Classic Clog design, and MCM’s iconic Visetos Monogram will no doubt create excitement for our fans around the world.”
Merging their respective designs, MCM and Crocs have reimagined the Classic Clog in two distinct styles. Together through remixing iconic elements of both brands’ DNA, the styles inherently lend themselves to summer as must-have collectibles.
For the launch, MCM drew inspiration from its heritage. The first style features an interchangeable mini belt-bag which can also be worn as a fashion accessory. Adding a touch of bling, the footwear comes with 24-carat gold plated Jibbitz charms. The second style is presented in a striking neon yellow design that features a playful bulldog motif and hardware details resembling a dog collar.
Both style drops are now available exclusively in MCM boutiques and mcmworldwide.com.
