Prime Video has officially unveiled the premiere date and first details for Another Simple Favor, the highly anticipated sequel to the hit 2018 dark comedy A Simple Favor. Set to premiere globally this May, the film reunites stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, this time transporting the suspense to the breathtaking island of Capri, Italy.

Directed once again by Paul Feig, the sequel promises to raise the stakes and the style, as Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and the ever-enigmatic Emily Nelson (Lively) come together for Emily’s extravagant wedding. But what begins as a picturesque celebration quickly spirals into chaos as old secrets resurface, new betrayals emerge, and a potential murder threatens to shatter the luxurious facade.

The film blends chic Mediterranean glamour with the razor-sharp wit and mystery that made the original a fan favorite. With the glittering coast of Capri as its backdrop, Another Simple Favor dives deeper into its characters’ tangled web of lies and loyalty, delivering even more outrageous twists, high fashion, and gasp-worthy drama.

Joining Kendrick and Lively are returning cast members Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, and Bashir Salahuddin, along with new faces including Elizabeth Perkins, Alex Newell, Elena Sofia Ricci, and the legendary Allison Janney. The screenplay comes from Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis, with Feig also producing alongside Laura Fischer. Executive producers include Jennifer Booth, Sharzer, and Marco Valerio Pugini.

Described as a “dysfunctional family thriller wrapped in designer couture,” the sequel is already generating buzz for its blend of comedy, suspense, and stylish spectacle.
