This time it has inspirational urban art activities

The Aliwal Urban Art Festival (AUAF) is making its return at the Aliwal Arts Centre (AAC) on 14 January 2023 for its seventh edition. The best part is that this event will be taking place on the last weekend of Singapore Art Week 2023. This means that art enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a whole week of art leading up to the event as well.

The festival will also showcase Singapore’s vibrant urban culture scene and feature celebrated local artists from different urban art practices in an exciting array of free activities such as live graffiti painting, music and dance performances and even a pop-up artists’ market as well.

Moreover, the Aliwal Festival will also feature “Flipside,” an exhibition where 12 prominent urban artists, ANTZ, BONY, Demster, nuriman, KILAS, PHATNOEZ, SAM LO, SPAZ, SPEAK CRYPTIC, TraseOne, TUYULOVEME and Boon Baked will flex their artistic muscles and present two images within a singular canvas in the tabula scalata format.

Visitors can also look forward to two Live Graffiti Painting showcases from Has.J and Titan Aerosol Crew at the Aliwal. This is what we believe will be the highlight of the entire event as it will be the most general and most wide reaching event that most of you will be looking forward to.

What’s more, for those of you who are looking to move to the groove like there is no tomorrow, David Siow of Steady State Records will present a line-up of independent bands and artists of various music genres, from math rock band, woes, to feel-good R&B band, Astronauts and Thai artist Lukpeach whom they have an upcoming collaboration with.
